Tools for the free creative mind.

The creative process is a constant back and forth between sending and receiving. The moment sender and receiver start to play, they are acting in public.

At Public Ping Pong, we support the creative act as communication without an agenda. It’s not about winning. It’s about playing the game.

We offer tools for the free creative mind, from handy apps to complex AI tools built to find the unique idea.

Storyboarder by Wonder Unit is one of the best tools ever made for sketching a story, fast, free and open source. But it hasn’t been developed for years and no longer runs on current operating systems.

We’re changing that. Public Ping Pong is carrying Wonder Unit’s legacy forward: we maintain and develop the app so it runs on today’s systems, and keep it alive for everyone who thinks in pictures.

Made for perpetual travelers. The PT App keeps a clean log of where you have been and shows you, day by day, how long you have stayed in each country and city.
Automatic or manual. Let the app detect your country and city in the background, or add your stays yourself.
Days at a glance. See your current stay and your total days per country and city since a start date you choose.
Your own limit. Set a day limit and see how close you are.
Careful counting. A travel day counts for both countries, and days without an entry show up as gaps, so your log stays complete.
Export your full log as a CSV file to open in Excel or Numbers.

Private by design. No account, no tracking. Your travel log is stored only on your phone.

A good idea is not an optimization. A good idea leaves the space in which it has been asked for. Looking back on the answer, it seems mandatory for that question. Think of Marcel Duchamp’s Fountain: a urinal, signed and sent to an exhibition. It was not a better sculpture but a new question about what art is. BackSpin is built to serve you ideas like that.
